I met Adele in 2004 and she was extremely understanding and sympathetic when I explained all of the problems I was feeling. We spent about two months picking through all the things that I thought were causing me to feel panicky and so tearful all the time. The best thing I got out of the work we did was giving me something to look forward to in the future. She gave me enough confidence to plan and start my own business. I can’t believe it’s the same me now! I work from home and have started a business which gives me enough work to actually outsource some to other people! I took that as a great mark of achievement! If I had the time, I’d write a book about not giving up because I don’t think I could have been any lower back in 2004.

Over about five years I developed a ridiculously bad fear of heights. It started on a skiing holiday and everytime I was exposed to a situation with heights it got worse and worse. I decided to do something about it in November because I noticed I was actually starting to get that same sick feeling in my stomach in other situations. A friend recommended Adele and I had four sessions of hypnotherapy with her. I can’t really describe what happened but I know that somehow I had a total life ‘overhaul’ in those four sessions. I have got my height fear totally into perspective and my big test was going skiing in March. Everything was fine. I was nervous but that was it, nothing more. The biggest benefit for me was I’ve stopped worrying so much in general.
