Questions to Live By:
Many years ago, I attended a seminar and one of the speakers was Keith Cunningham. He wasn’t someone that I had heard of or that the audience initially seemed very interested in. However about two minutes into his talk he had managed to get hold of everyone’s attention at the end of what was a very long day and held us enraptured, until he finished about two hours later.
His story is one of sheer determination to make things happen. He has been wealthy, poor, wealthy again, had legal battles, illness and a long list of other problems but his compassion and warmth shone through.
He talked through a list of what he called ‘mentoring questions’ and they are very relevant to most of us in our daily lives.
I have paraphrased some of them here from the notes I made and put a slightly more ‘British’ slant on what he was talking about. I believe he originates from Texas.
So the credit for the origins of these questions goes to Mr.Cunningham Click on his name to see his website.
I hope you find them as useful as I have.

1. What am I doing today to get what I want? Remember that yesterday is no longer important.
2. Am I settling for second best and if I am will the actions I am taking move me towards what I really want?
3.How would the person I want to be, do the thing I am about to do?
4.Can I hold the image of what I want, for long enough to take action?
5.What do I have to become to attract the success I want?
6.Am I will to accept the consequences of not changing?
7. Am I in control anymore?
8.What don’t I see?
9.Am I setting into motion the events I want to see happen or again am I settling for second best?
10.Am I willing to do whatever it takes or just ‘the best I can’?
